Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Her name was Josie, she was our little Puppy Paws, and on April 24, 2017 at five minutes past four in the afternoon she crossed peacefully over Rainbow Bridge taking our hearts with her.

Her name was Ophelia ~ she was our little Honey Pot ~ and at just a few minutes past eight a.m. the morning of October 3, 2016 she got her angel's wings and crossed quietly over the BridgeOphie2.jpg

Gigi.JPGHer name was Gigi - she was our owl-eyed fluff-a-nutter and we called her Giggles - but at 4:01 p.m. the afternoon of January 29, 2016 she slipped quietly away and crossed over Rainbow Bridge leaving pawprints on our hearts.

van.jpgHis name was VanGogh - he was our Little Ambassador - but at 8:55 on the morning of April 26, 2015 this kind and gentle soul left us and crossed gently over Rainbow Bridge.

Her name was Abbie, she was our Lady Abagail - and in the noon hour of January 26, 2015 - as the first snow of the New Year fell, this beautiful girl left us and crossed quietly over Rainbow Bridge.

His name was Otis - he was our Little Popeye - and at just before noon on August 11, 2014 this cuddly nuzzler slipped quietly away and across Rainbow Bridge..

His name was Linus ~ he was our Big Daddy ~ and in the late afternoon hours of February 3, 2014 this loving companion peacefully crossed Rainbow Bridge. ..

His name was Socks ~ he was the Little Mayor ~ and on November, 18, 2011 at 5:43PM this little furball serenely crossed over Rainbow Bridge.

His name was Shadow ~ he was the Quiet King ~ and as the final hours of summer September 21, 2010 turned to the first hours of autumn this sweet soul crossed gently over Rainbow Bridge.
